Seddon’s Caravan Park - Guest Book

June Condon - Really enjoyed our stay here, we have rebooked . This is a small campsite, it has two areas for tents, there are a few static caravans and regulars who pitch there for the full season. We found them to be very friendly and helpful.
The owners allowed us to choose a pitch, next to the caravans, which was big. We have a outwell Vermont, with a front extension and still had room to put up a wind breaker.

The campsite is surrounded by woodland, great for our dogs, they loved it. There is a small block in the middle of the site with showers, toilets and laundry, they are basic but clean and adequate, they do not have any other amenities but local shops are not far.

The owners are friendly, they gave us information about the local area. Then they leave you to enjoy your camping.
This site is very close to Druridge bay country Park & Beach.

Ewall - We stayed here for one week in a tent with family in a caravan also. The park owners were lovely and friendly and could not do enough to help us, very nice people indeed. The park is fairly easy to find and is also a great place to explore Northumberland from. This is quite a small site but my three small kids enjoyed themselves here. Amazing value for money, cannot believe how good the rates are. I would definitely stay here again if I was going to that part of the UK. We had a lovely holiday here.

This is a very nice secluded little site, , with nothing to do but relax. Larry and his wife are very nice people and were very hospitable. No shop or anything on site but local shop not far away. Lovely walks for the dogs in the wood. Not a lot for kids to do, would need to take own activities. Nevertheless, lovely if the weathers nice and there was no pressure to get off the site on departure day. We will be back.

COMMENT: A small very friendly campsite with good amenities. Stayed for a week and really enjoyed it. It is a great base for touring around the area as even though the site is secluded there are very good road connections a couple of miles away in each direction.

We were made to feel very welcome. The facilities were great for the dogs with a field and woods.

Will make this a yearly visit.

COMMENT: We have just had a lovely weekend here the owners are very helpfully and the site is very well kept.The dogs loved walking in the woods and also the doggy walk was fantastic as the dogs where free and couldnt get out the wildlife is great woodpecker red squirrel and roe deer it is great value for money we will definatley be back and THANK YOU

Comments: What a great little site, close to the beach and the A1 but if you are dog lovers this is the site for you, walking area, woods where you could get lost in and no one tells you off for having your dog on the lead. This is a very small site without bars, pools clubs and this is what we like, a family run affair and they are only too willing to give help and advice, what a wonderful place, shall be returning.

Comments: Just had a lovely weekend at Seddons the site is well looked after great for dogs with walks through the woods also the doggy walk is great as you can close the gate and the dogs are safe off the lead to have a good run the showers and toilets where very clean.The wildlife is fantastic woodpeckers squirrels and roe deer also numerous different birds I can say my weekend was very relaxing the owners where very helpfull and friendly as where the other people on the site

Comments: Great little site and very peaceful. Kids could play without worrying about cars all over the place. Friendly owners and a great forest to walk through with the kids during a lovely sunny day! Will be returning again.

Just a quick note to thank you for the accommodation last week and your help with places to visit etc. We really enjoyed our visit to Northumberland. Campsite was nice and relaxed. Saw 2 red squirrels during an exploration of the woods – didn’t quite get decent pictures though! They are very timid and fast!.

Comments: Our first ever trip with our wobble box was here , we were next to the shower block we enjoyed it but we later found the bottom field which looked perfect to us so have booked up to try the bottom field  , owners lovely and friendly we loved exploring the onsite woods! Basic site were kids can be kids

Comments: Lovely site in lovely surroundings. Great site for dogs and wildlife. Saw birds of prey every morning close up. Lovely family own the site, just my cup of tea if you like wildlife and no club house.

Comments: Out first time out with our new caravan last year and our first time in Northumberland we visited Seddons and we loved it so much we came back for a second visit in September this year. What a beautiful site, wonderfully quiet, a haven for our four dogs, two of which are quite nervous so the peaceful surroundings are very calming for them. A custom made dog walk, not just a scruffy 100 yard path but a full field for a proper walk and whilst watching the wildlife one day out of the caravan window I actually saw a woodpecker on a tree opposite, it made my holiday :).

We love it here, peaceful, quiet, wonderful scenery, dark skies it has it all for us. I cannot enthrall enough about this site, wonderful, wonderful, wonderful.  Our dogs and ourselves love it here so much we have enquired about a seasonal pitch so we can visit more often.

Comments: Had a lovely time when myself and my sons stayed over the summer. it is lovely and peaceful. It is really quite so it was nice to just relax and do nothing. The family are very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. will definitely go back

Comments: Perfect location to get away from it all. Stunning views, friendly and helpful owners and dogs are even welcome as long as they behave. If you fancy waking up to bird song and no traffic this is the place to go. It is far enough away from Widdrington village to feel like a proper country escape, but close enough so that a night in the local village pub (which also does beautiful meals) is only a short taxi ride away.
